AHA Greetings!
The year is flying by and it all ready time for the American Heart Associations Scientific Sessions.  Again this year the HCMA will have a booth at AHA, #558, where we will provide information to health care providers about HCM.  If you are a medical professional please visit us in Orlando November 15-18 on the exhibit floor!  We also encourage all of out readers to visit the AHA's website to learn about Hands Only CPR!  Click here  We ask that you pass this email to all your families and friends and ask them to take a moment to watch this important message.
In other important news... The HCMA would like all of our families and medical providers to know that genetics really took a jumpr forward at the HCM Summit, it is clear that this testing holds important implications for HCM families.  We are happy to say that genetic testing is far more affordable and accessable to average families then ever before.  We encourage you to visit the HCMA website to learn more about genetics and how affordable it can be. Click here.
We wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope that this year you will take a moment to "Thankful" for the HCMA by supporting the HCMA with a donation or updating your membership Click here
Have a great holiday,
Lisa Salberg

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Bulimia: An Insidious Mix

HCMA logoWhen our children are diagnosed with HCM we can sometimes forget they are also at risk for other medical issues, including mental health concerns.
