Dear EAL Professionals,

We hope you all had a great summer full of positive events and memories. It has been a busy two months for English Online. As a result, we have several announcements to make. 


News:

  • English Online Webinars 2012 – 2013 are on the way! According to the survey results, the majority of the EAL community has chosen Saturday morning (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) as the most convenient time to attend a webinar. We are hosting our first monthly webinar on September 29, 2012. So mark your calendars! Read more here.

In your teaching practice…

The summer is over and you may feel a little nervous about the upcoming term. There are many things to consider when preparing for your first day of class. As many EAL/ESL educators agree, there are three important objectives that you should aim to achieve during your first lesson:

The first days of your class are the most important for establishing the right kind of atmosphere in your classroom. We hope that the resources listed below will help you get to know your students as well as let them get to know you and each other and create a comfortable and positive atmosphere in your classroom.
