Tell Congress to Invest in Child Care: Click to Sign Petition October 18, 2011 Greetings!
From our friends at Voices for America's Children: Millions are struggling to find and hold a job in the wake of the recession. One thing that has always helped is child care; having high-quality, affordable care for children gives parents the flexibility to advance their careers. But federal support for child care is drying up. Federal stimulus dollars that propped up child care support to parents is running out, even as demand continues to increase nationwide. Much of the federal support for child care comes through the Child Care Development Block Grant, and Congress is debating its future now. As Congress decides appropriations and the "super committee" eyes programs for cuts, we need you to tell your representatives that child care is a priority for parents! Tell Congress: Increase child care support for struggling families! Sign our petition to Congress and help create a better future for children in this country.
Tell Congress: Support child care and working parents! Please click to send a letter to your members of Congress in this time of need. And please forward this to two friends you know will want to help. Sincerely, Action for Children North Carolina |
