Public Meetings on Redistricting to be Held across the State: Tomorrow, June 23 June 22, 2011 Greetings!
Every 10 years, the state legislature is responsible for redrawing voting district lines. This process is often highly controversial because how districts are drawn can affect who is elected. See below for a notice from the Senate and House Committees on Redistricting about how you can become aware and get involved in the redistricting process. ------------------------------ The Senate and House Committees on Redistricting will hold public hearings TOMORROW, Thursday, June 23 from 3-9 p.m. in various locations around the state. - Please note that in order to speak at the hearing, you must sign up either online before 3 pm TODAY or in person starting an hour before the hearing and ending before the hearing begins.
