Spring Sales Blitz

As the New Year begins, the Adventures Sales Blitz Committee is busy planning the Spring 2012 Sales Mission. With the success in the past few years with a new format (a mini travel show in a tourism venue within our 1-2 day feeder markets), the committee is looking for input from members as to which market to target. Some locales suggested have been Upstate New York, East Central Pennsylvania, Cincinnati/Lexington/Louisville and West Virginia.

The committee plans to choose a destination by the February 7th member meeting at the Hard Rock Café. The committee is considering the second or third week of April and price to participate will depend on the need for group transportation and/or overnight accommodations. Please email any suggestions or questions to Chairperson, Denise McConnell at ramadaltd@tusco.net prior to the February 7th.

AAA Show

The Adventures in NE Ohio booth was once again a favorite stop for many AAA Great Vacation Expo attendees. With 11 attending partners and 14 members choosing the "Send Your Stuff" option our booth provided a full year's worth of Ohio travel ideas! Thank you to the 'Ohio Has IT' group for the use of their PLINKO game board. The opportunity to win always draws a crowd; that combined with the "Grand Prize" basket give-away, generated over 750 leads for leisure travelers to our area that will be distributed to participating partners. Thanks to all that participated, we will have a brief 'wrap-up' (10 min) after the February meeting. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to email Lynda Nemeth, as we are already generating a new plan for 2013. aaa2 2012

mohicanlogoLoudonville-Mohican -CVB New Image

Along with celebrating the 50th anniversary of canoeing in Mohican, the Loudonville-Mohican Convention & Visitors Bureau has also spent the year developing a new marketing "image" in a number of areas.  "Camp & Canoe Capital of Ohio" describes more than 4,400 campsites as well as the largest number of registered watercraft in Ohio. In addition to a new tagline, the Bureau has a new name - Mohican-Loudonville Visitors Bureau.  The Bureau has also changed its web site name to www.DiscoverMohican.com.   The long-time toll-free phone number 1-800-2MOHICAN, remains the same. The new "image" will be an important part of the Bureau's marketing plan next year, which will be themed as Mohican Rocks!
