Jason Creeden

Jason knew this was the offseason for him to take the next step in his athletic performance, to prepare himself for college.  Going into his junior year at Woodberry Forest High School he knew that he would need a good showing in combines to put him in position to achieve his long term goals.

Jason knows he wants to play Division I football and that it won't be difficult to qualify for the school of his choice academically, with his 4.0 GPA.  But he knew before attending House of Speed that he needed to have better measurables if he wanted to be noticed by his choices of:  WVU, Vanderbilt, UNC, Brown and Princeton.   After being referred to HOS by a friend he hoped he could show significant improvement in his 40 time, shuttle time and his pro agility.

Jason plays Guard and Defensive Tackle for Woodberry.  At the recent Rivals National Underclassman Ultimate 100 combine he was able to cut 6 tenths of a second off of his 40 time after working with House of Speed, obviously, a significant improvement.  Jason credits the video analysis utilizing our Dartfish technology as one of the big reasons he was able to significantly reduce his times.   By seeing where he was not maximizing his power and showing less than ideal form he was able to correct and therefore improve.  The proof is in the lower times.  He sites one Dartfish session where he saw himself running in proper form and was excited because he "looked good."   It was a culmination of his hard work being shown on video.

Jason also gives credit to his work on the Powerpull as a major reason for his improvement.  Utilizing it significantly improved his explosiveness at the start as well as his ability to maintain his speed through the entire 40.  Repetition is credited by Jason for improvement in the agility drills and improved form.  Learning the skips that focus on proper form as well as the intense work on the speed ladder has improved his foot speed and lateral quickness, which has translated into his faster times in pro-agility and shuttle drills.

Football is Jason's passion but he is looking forward to getting into a school where he can pursue his goals of being a Biology Major.  After his undergraduate degree has been earned, he plans to pursue a PhD in Marine Biology.  Jason believes that the skills he has learned in football and with House of Speed are preparing him to be a better student athlete at the next level and preparing him for life after football.

As a message to others who may be interested in participating in House of Speed, Jason says, " It works. If you follow the program it will make you faster regardless of what sport you play.   The focus on improved running form helps you correct so many issues very quickly, then your natural ability can take over.  My advice to anyone looking to be a better athlete and specifically to get faster is try House of Speed, you won't be disappointed."
