Noel Kowalewski

House of Speed helps athletes improve speed and quickness but it takes athletes with a special kind of character to really excel.  Noel Kowalewski is an athlete that understands it takes hard work and dedication, coupled with the right training to be successful.

Noel came to House of Speed knowing what she wanted to do.  She plans to play Division 1 College soccer and position herself to continue playing after that.  She has been looking at ODU, GMU, UNC-Wilmington along with Coastal Carolina to reach that goal.  All of these schools are good matches for her academically and offer the scholastic interests she is looking for.

Noel is currently with the FCV Explosion Soccer Team playing Defense/ Midfield, primarily Center Back.  It has been an exciting year, recently completing a tournament in which they beat the previous State Cup Champions and lost 1-0 in the finals to the eventual new champions.  The season never ends though as her team prepares for both the Raleigh College Showcase and Disney Showcase.  On top of all this Noel has continued her training with House of Speed and even spent some time working with our youngest athletes.  It has been great to see her translate the skills she learned to young athletes who obviously would like to be in her position one day.

House of Speed focuses on helping athletes increase speed by reviewing their form as well as showing them how to increase core strength and quickness.  This is what Noel was looking for when she came to HOS, with the ultimate goal of competing at the highest level of soccer.  Noel believes her greatest strides she has made while working with HOS have been; Core Strength, along with a noticeable improvement in both her speed and agility.   She specifically has noticed a faster acceleration in her first step, and being pushed off the ball has become a thing of the past.  She attributes these improvements to the work she has done with House of Speed.

Getting a great workout while having a good time is one of the advantages she sees in the program.  The staff has worked with her to develop the specific skills she is looking for to succeed and she enjoys working with them.  They have the same interest as she does, helping her become the very best that she can be.

When asked to talk about when she felt things "clicked" for her during the training or when she realized all of her hard work was paying off.  She responded:

"After training for 8 months I played in a College Soccer Showcase in Tampa and made an outstanding run/ play.  Some of the college coaches commented on it and several of my teammates parents did as well.  There I could see the improvement in my game."

This answer shows exactly what this work can do for an athlete willing to put in the time and effort.

Noel was also asked, what message would she give to other athletes considering House of Speed?

"If you want to take your game to the next level you have to train, and at House of Speed you can cover several areas."

We are excited to watch Noel continue to pursue her goals and work with House of Speed.  All of us at House of Speed enjoy working with her and can't wait to see her goals accomplished.
