TARGIT BI Suite 2K9 is in the market
The 2K9 version of TARGIT BI Suite has been released. Launches took place in Denmark, USA and even online. At the DK events, TARGIT's CTO Morten Middelfart introduced the new features and improvements in TARGIT BI Suite 2K9. His focus was on the new Sentinels technology. "I see a great potential in the Sentinels and the response from everyone attending at the events was extremely positive", Morten Middelfart said following the events. His assumptions turned out to be right. According to the evaluation forms regarding the DK events, Morten Middelfart's presentation scored the highest and the part on Sentinels got the most attention. Generally, the attending TARGIT resellers expressed great satisfaction with the event programs and content. 
TARGIT CEO Morten Sandlykke also spoke at the launch events in Denmark. He focused on the financial crisis as being a good argument for purchasing BI or updating an existing solution: "To make BI accessible in order to enable everyone in the organization to make the right decisions fast is extremely important when it comes to handling favorable and, in particular, critical market conditions."
While more and more companies are cutting back on larger IT investments, minor investments are expedited. A Gartner report shows that IT managers tend to prioritize business intelligence as the most important area in 2009. "This is the time to emphasize that we deliver easy-to-use standard software which ensures a quick turnaround from deciding to purchase to actually using the product. And the return on investment is just as quick. TARGIT also has an attractive position in the market right now when it comes to pricing", says Morten Sandlykke.
Sandlykke's statements were supported by TARGIT's Senior VP of Sales Flemming Madsen during his presentation: "We realize that companies prefer projects which are limited - both in regards to time and to finances. So we are now focusing on our TARGIT BI Accelerator solution which we can implement quickly and at a fixed price".
If an organization uses i.e. Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX, GP, CRM or SAP Business One, TARGIT BI Accelerator is a standard solution to quickly getting started with BI. With TARGIT BI Accelerator, companies can start with a specific business area in which they primarily need decision support, and the solution can be expanded to include more business areas, data sources or companies - at any time. "This makes it appealing to invest in TARGIT BI when implementing a new ERP system but also if a large investment in ERP is postponed. BI brings new life to an existing ERP system and only requires a minor investment", concludes Flemming Madsen.

TARGIT University presents new courses
TARGIT University now offers a course in Business Intelligence Accelerators (BIA).
The course is based on the TARGIT BI Accelerators, and it will give you the knowledge you need to expand and adjust the cubes in your data warehouse.
The course is targeted at anyone who needs to or would simply like to gain more knowledge on data warehousing.
 The two-day BI Accelerator Professional course also works as an extended continuation of the TARGIT Certified Professional course because of the increased complexity. The increased complexity of the BI Accelerator Professional course will also appeal to employees that comfortable working with developing data warehouses. They will get inspiration and knowledge regarding developing and expanding existing TARGIT BI solutions.
TARGIT University also offers all the classic courses based on the new 2K9 version of TARGIT BI Suite, and the TARGIT Certified Professional course is now taught on Microsoft SQL 2008.

TARGIT releases Hotfix 1 for 2K9
A new release is available for TARGIT BI Suite 2K9.
It is Hotfix 1 (Build 3732). The Hotfix fixes a few issues found in 2K9 or previous versions. Details can be found in the change log in the TARGIT Download Center.
The release also improves the experience when running the web client in Internet Explorer 8 and it has support for Windows 7 RC. Also, Italian and Greek translations are included.
The new release is available for download in the TARGIT Download Center.
