Spring Concert is May 7! Dress for Success!
The annual ensemble, choral and recorder concert will be held on Friday May 7 in the Festival Hall. All students grades three through eight participate in the concert as a part of the music curriculum. Please plan to have your student arrive between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. for instrument tuning and warm ups. The concert will begin at 7:00. We remind all students and parents of the dress code for participants: Boys: White shirt with collar (may be polo or dress shirt, short or long sleeved), tucked in. Black or dark colored pants (chinos or dress pants), worn at the waist. No shorts. Dark colored shoes if possible. Girls: White blouse with collar, short or long sleeved, tucked in or with a finished bottom hem. Black or dark colored skirt or dress pants. No prints or casual pants. Shoes with heels 2 inches or less. (Flats give the best posture for singing.) After last year's successful launch of the dress code, we have acquired a small closet of suitable clothing of various sizes (including a nice pair of boys' dress shoes) that we are happy to lend for the concert. Students and/or parents may come to the music room to check out clothing on Tuesdays or Thursdays during lunch recess or after school from 3:15-3:30. Please contact Ms. Dains or Ms. Pierce at home with any questions. Thank you for your cooperation, and see you at the concert! |
