What we are learning in December...

This month, we focus on the coming of our Savior. We begin on Sunday with a look at Isaiah's revelation of God's plan for Jesus to be the Savior. As we move through the month, we'll move into the accounts of Jesus' birth in the Gospels, including His coming revealed to Mary and Joseph, His birth, and the Wise Men worshiping Him. Each week on the Kids Ministry Blog on the Rolling Hills Web site, you'll find the reference for the story that week, the "big idea" and talking points/activities for follow up with your kids. This is a great tool to help with spiritual conversations in your home.

Family Dedication Class                               Sunday, December 5

Parents are required to attend a Family Dedication Class prior to participation in Family Dedication Services at Rolling Hills. These classes are held four times a year on Sunday mornings during the 9:30am service. Our next class is this Sunday, December 5. Please contact our Preschool Minister, Danette Cravens, to RSVP.  Christmas Schedule

Pancake Saturday, December 4: Join us for a family pancake breakfast this Saturday, December 4, at 9am. Children can wear their favorite Christmas PJ's. Our Pre-K through 5th graders will be singing, and there will be activities for families to participate in together. We will be collecting the following items to send with our Christmas in Moldova mission team: ear warmers, gloves, scarves and warm socks.

Saturday, December 11: Christmas at Rolling Hills  - This is a family-friendly dinner. Tickets are $12.50 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12, and those under age 5 are free. Tickets may be purchased here. There will even be a special performance of the song Back to the Manger from our Pre-K through 5th graders!

Wednesday, December 15:
Join us for Back to the Manger @ 7pm in the Auditorium. Combine our fantastic kids that attend The Fort on Wednesdays, a time machine, and caroling through the 20th century, and you have the makings for a fantastic evening as our elementary students help us understand the true value of God's gift and why we celebrate His birth. All are welcome!
Friday, December 24: We will have two Christmas Eve services at 5 and 7pm with childcare available for those aged 4 years and under. Just like on Sunday mornings, we will need folks willing to worship one hour and serve the other. Willing to serve an hour in the preschool area? Contact Danette.

Sunday, December 26:
We will not have Sunday worship services. Nic Allen will be writing a family worship guide for use that day. Enjoy family time together!
Calendar Note for Wednesday Nights: There will be no Wednesday activities on December 22 and 29 for Kids or Youth.
