The basic things you need to know to make sure your child's school experience leads to a happy, healthy brain.

The principal of an East Coast school in the U.S. told me, "We are having a very difficult time with Marnie. She can have a melt down with no warning and it can last over one hour. She bites, she screams, she cries, she runs away. There is no way to talk her through this -- she covers her ears. We are stumped!"

Marnie's mom and I worked with the prinicpal, classroom teacher and staff. Our goal was to get rid of any off-target behavior within two days. The frequency of her off-target behavior was as much as several times per hour, so this was a big goal.

Dr. Cheri L. Florance

Dr. Cheri Florance pioneered the scientific basis for Brain Engineering to address language and communication problems originating in a strong visual brain interfering with the development of the auditory-verbal brain, sometimes mimicking the symptoms of Autism Spectrum, ADD, PDD, Aspergers and other disorders. She named this visual brain syndrome the "Maverick Mind," and wrote the book Maverick Mind based on her findings and her personal experience with her third child who was diagnosed as autistic, but who is now a college graduate and engineer, and completely symptom-free.
