Greetings! If I could give you just one piece of advice for how to best help your visually-oriented child, it would be to ACT NOT YAK. In a word, think "Visually." For the visual child, actions are much more meaningful than words.
Talking -- including repeated questioning -- for a visual thinker can actually be painful. Being seen as anti-social or simply "different" than other children makes a child feel alien from other people to begin with. The goal should be to find another way to teach your child so that they feel good about themselves.
Move inside their brains and think like they do -- visually. Using those visual strengths to repair symptoms is the foundation of my Brain Engineering Training. And it works!
And yes, it's hard work for a child with a strong visual brain to retrain and develop the auditory-verbal side of their brain. But there is nothing a child wants more than the approval of their parents and loved ones.

"I didn't know that questioning a child constantly is a negative thing. I am always asking [my son] questions to elicit speech. So I tried using some of your techniques, and it is working! While playing, instead of asking him 'Where's moose, duck, sheep, etc.' I said, '[Son's name] loves ---- ... and then waited ... He took the lead and said, 'Duck, moose, sheep.' Then, in his Barney's book of colors, he pointed to yellow and I said 'Yellow.' He pointed to blue. Now, I know he can say blue and green, so I paused---- and he said 'Blue.' He pointed to red, and I said 'Red.' He pointed to green---- I paused, he looked at me, and said 'Green!'" This was very exciting!"
