Anthony's Evaluation and Training
Anthony fit the Maverick
profile. He would lose control and become frustrated because of his
inability to communicate. He would put his hands over his ears when
people talked. And when
Anthony talked, he would frequently just echo
what others said.
Anthony's
father had his doubts that any kind of training program would help his
son. But he also
read my book and became convinced that my experience
as a mother and as an expert in
communication disorders of the brain
might work for Anthony.
I discovered that Anthony had 48 of the 50 key symptoms of a Maverick Mind. His parents were
also high visual thinkers who used their high visuals in their work-his father as a computer
technology expert, and his mother as a systems analyst. In addition, both parents spoke several
languages, which meant they were adept at switching between communication codes.
For Anthony's training program, I customized a 5-Step Program designed to teach him to process
language and use his verbal brain, reduce the risks (lack of progress in school due to inability to
communicate), and allow his Maverick Mind-his genius brain to blossom. The training program
