Cambridge Pixel has expanded its range of radar processing and display products to include enhanced visualisation capabilities in RadarView and multi-channel parallax-compensated B-Scope displays. See What's New on our web site for a list of recent changes.
Our big news this month is that we have been awarded ISO-9001:2008 accreditation from the British Standards Institute (BSI) for our Quality Management System, reflecting our commitment to providing high-quality products and first-class technical support services. | Radar Insertion - Adding Scan Converted Radar Video into your Graphics Application |
Cambridge Pixel's flexible software-based radar scan converters run in Windows or Linux environments, either locally or across a network.
A novel feature of the display solution is the ability to insert radar video into an existing application with minimal changes to that application, whether written in X Windows, Microsoft Windows or using a third-party toolkit. Our "Radar-Insertion" solution takes an existing graphics application and inserts radar video as a new layer. A simple socket-based interface may be all that is needed to implement the control interface.
Read our application note to see how Radar Insertion simplifies the addition of radar video into a Windows or Linux graphics application.

| SPx Server Plugins Supports Customisation Capabilities |
Cambridge Pixel's SPx Server now supports user-defined plugins for customised enhancement of the radar processing functions.
SPx Server is an extensible radar processor with customised code included in the radar processing chain where special processing needs to be implemented. This allows customers to expand the scope of the radar processor to include proprietary enhancements with no changes to the core radar processing capability. |
| Enhanced Radar Visualisation |
RadarView has expanded its capabilities for visualisation of radar video to include B-Scan display modes in addition to PPI and A-Scan.
High-quality radar display with interactive scrolling and zooming is provided, with optional support for target display from an SPx Tracking Server. The latest version also supports a NMEA data stream for ship navigation information for radar display on a moving platform.
RadarView is an excellent tool for radar verification, analysis, maintenance or training.
