Our Anatomy/Kinesiology course is for individuals that want an in depth study of the human body and how it moves and functions. This course is taught by Julie Odermann. Julie has a bachelor of science in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University. She also has 8 years experience as a physical therapist aid.
The course includes:
*The skeletal system and its movements and joint movement terminology.
*The muscular system which includes structure and function, attachment to
bone, levers and rotary motion, types of contractions, and muscle names
and actions.
*The spine: bones and bony landmarks, joint structure and movement, ideal
spine alignment and deviations.
*The pelvic girdle and hip joint
*The knee and patellofemoral joint
*The ankle and foot
*Upper extremity: shoulder and shoulder girdle and other joints of the upper
extremity.
You will take away a greater understanding of the human body and its movements which will in turn help professionals in many fields of work. If you are considering a field of work where the study of anatomy and movement are important, this is the course for you! This is also a great class to brush up on your Anatomy and Kinesiology.
