The Gender Show is a collection of work that focuses on the idea of using gender as a word with many definitions. For this month's show, the studio has teamed up with Siren Nation, a unique arts organization that showcases and creates performance, exhibition and educational opportunities for women throughout the year.  Siren Nation's mission is to inspire and empower women of all ages to create their own art and to highlight the many achievements of women in the arts.  They envision a society where gender plays no part in determining an artists' potential for success, for being heard or for being seen. Visit their website for more information about them and their upcoming events. www.sirennation.com

Featured print artist, chosen by Siren Nation, Kindra Crick is joined by the following artists in this group show: Robin Ator, Alison Berry, Joshua Boyd, Brittan Goldmann, Victoria Hale, Jami, Joy Leising, Delaney Mawson, Troy John McCray, Molly McDavitt, Katy Meacham, Jennie Rose and Beth Ann Short.

Although each artist represents their own personal definition of "Gender" Included in the show is the collaborative piece, "A Daily Reminder," started by artists Joy Leising and Molly McDavitt. It has evolved into a joint effort between artists, Bridget Benton, Jessica Breedlove, Cocoa Costales, Katy Meacham, Jennie Rose, Beth Ann Short and Taylor Steveson, to connect women through the concept of birth control, women's health, health care, choices and sexuality. This project is continuing to grow and accepting more artists. Contact Joy Leising at the studio for more information.
