Winter Conference Registration

Although Scripture is filled with examples of the presence and power of the Spirit operating in everything from the actual creation of our world (Genesis 1:2) to the transforming "new creation" of our personal lives (2 Cor. 3:18), the Holy Spirit has often been overlooked or ignored. At next year's Winter Conference in Houston, Texas, we will seek to correct this all too frequent omission. The theme for next year's conference will be "The Holy Spirit: Power for Mission."

Parishioners Enjoy Tradition of Making Advent Wreaths

For parishioners at St. Peter's Place Anglican Church in Roswell, Georgia, creating their own circular garlands of evergreen branches is a meaningful activity that helps prepare their hearts for the coming of Christ. Families take the Advent wreaths home and light one candle each week of Advent.

Parishes Unite to Support Leukemia Patient

Mark and his brother, Scott

Alone in a strange city for a stem cell transplant, leukemia patient Mark Steele had a pressing need that his home parish, Christ Church Overland Park, Kansas, wasn't there to meet. But when Church of the Redeemer in Nashville, Tennessee, stepped forward to serve him, he experienced the love and unity of the Body of Christ.

Rector Answers the Question "What Is an Anglican?" in Radio Interview

Backpack Radio Hosts (L to R) :
Pastor Bob, Vocab Malone & Vermon Pierre

On October 9, the Rev. Shane Copeland of St. George's Anglican Community in Phoenix, Arizona, got a chance to answer the question, "What is an Anglican?" on a live radio program. Every Sunday night, "Backpack Radio" offers "street-level apologetics" to Phoenix listeners at 1360 KPXQ AM. Shortly before Reformation Day, in honor of related topics, the hosts enlisted Shane to explain the basics of Anglicanism to their listening audience.

"It was crazy, chaotic, mostly 'off the cuff' and a whole lot of fun," Shane says. "I did my best to try and articulate some of what it means to be an Anglican."

Listen to Shane's interview that starts several minutes into the program.
