Now Open: Winter Conference Registration!
Although Scripture is filled with examples of the presence and power of the Spirit operating in everything from the actual creation of our world (Genesis 1:2) to the transforming "new creation" of our personal lives (2 Cor. 3:18), the Holy Spirit has often been overlooked or ignored. At next year's Winter Conference in Houston, Texas, we will seek to correct this all too frequent omission. The theme for next year's conference will be "The Holy Spirit: Power for Mission."

Worship Conference
November 8-10, 2011
A special invitation to theAM from Rector Steve Breedlove:
What is the message of the Gospel that is hard-wired into our Anglican liturgy, and how do we communicate it clearly and powerfully? What are the means for spiritual transformation available through Anglican worship? How is Anglican worship particularly tailored to include, and minister to, creative artists? These and many other essential topics will be on the table at the upcoming conference entitled Anglican Worship: A Conversation on Liturgy, Formation, Mission & Art, November 8-10 at All Saints Church in Durham, NC. Join me, our church staff, Mark Galli, David Taylor, Dr. Lester Ruth, Dr. Sam Wells, Andy Piercy, and many others for this conference aimed at clergy, worship pastors and leaders, artists and those interested in ministering to artists.

Priest Develops Young Anglican Leaders Through Simeon Fellowship
The Rev. Keith Allen knows firsthand what it's like to be a novice church planter trying to learn Anglican parish ministry on his own. That's why the rector of Holy Trinity in Jackson, Mississippi, is committed to participating in the Simeon Fellowship, a collaborative effort between theAM and church planting organization Anglican 1000 to raise up the next generation of young Anglican leaders. Last summer, Keith hosted a Simeon Fellow at his church to help him learn what it really means to be a pastor; this fall, he welcomes another Fellow to continue that preparatory work.
Learn the impact of Keith's summer mentoring relationship.

Conversation Highlights Merits of Good Novels
Agatha Christie, Wallace Stegner and Cormac McCarthy aren't authors you typically hear mentioned in a spiritual conversation. But the Rev. Kenny Benge of St. John's Anglican Church in Franklin, Tennessee, believes good novels can inspire and shape God's people. On August 24, he led the first in a fall series of conversations about faith and everyday life called Why Christians Should Read (Good) Novels.
Listen in on the conversation.

Hope House Redeems Site of Violent Crime
Four white crosses are planted in the front garden of 1410 Charleston Avenue in Huntington, West Virginia. The crosses represent four teens who were brutally murdered in a drug-related shooting at the old brick house in 2005. But the crosses also symbolize the redemption that came when All Saints Anglican Church purchased the dilapidated building in 2007, and converted it from a crime scene into a place for mentoring youth. Today, they're putting the finishing touches on the remodeled house with a goal of "turning tragedy into triumph."
Explore the transformational project.
