Although Scripture is filled with examples of the presence and power of the Spirit operating in everything from the actual creation of our world (Genesis 1:2) to the transforming "new creation" of our personal lives (2 Cor. 3:18), the Holy Spirit has often been overlooked or ignored. At next year's Winter Conference in Houston, Texas, we will seek to correct this all too frequent omission. The theme for next year's conference will be "The Holy Spirit: Power for Mission."

 Worship Conference

 November 8-10, 2011

A special invitation to theAM from Rector Steve Breedlove:

What is the message of the Gospel that is hard-wired into our Anglican liturgy, and how do we communicate it clearly and powerfully?  What are the means for spiritual transformation available through Anglican worship?  How is Anglican worship particularly tailored to include, and minister to, creative artists?  These and many other essential topics will be on the table at the upcoming conference entitled Anglican Worship: A Conversation on Liturgy, Formation, Mission & Art, November 8-10 at All Saints Church in Durham, NC.  Join me, our church staff, Mark Galli, David Taylor, Dr. Lester Ruth, Dr. Sam Wells, Andy Piercy, and many others for this conference aimed at clergy, worship pastors and leaders, artists and those interested in ministering to artists.

Pacific Northwest Church Plant Transitions Into Anglicanism

Pacific Church Plant

The Rev. Robert Lancaster leads a
worship service at Arnada Abbey.

Three months out of seminary, the Rev. Robert Lancaster could have found a cushy church job to initiate him into the priesthood. Instead, he moved from Chicago to Vancouver, Washington, to help transition a struggling church plant - now called Arnada Abbey - into the Anglican Mission. He came alongside original planters David and Karen Knudtson to lead a growing community of 20 attendees into history, liturgy and the sacraments.

Discover how Arnada Abbey is flourishing in the Anglican Way.

HopePointe members put a creative twist on farming-related parables.

It wasn't just another summer VBS program at HopePointe Anglican Church in The Woodlands, Texas. From July 18-22, 72 children enjoyed farming-related parables, themed songs and skits by costumed characters like Mr. Greenjeans and his friends Poppy, Birdie and Packard the Pack Rat.
