Soul in the City Houston
July 17-23, 2011
Soul in the City Houston is just around the corner! Mark your calendars now for July 17 - 23, 2011 and join in the camp/mission week of a lifetime.
This week-long event is for any 7th - 12th graders who are interested in meeting new friends, serving others in the name of Christ and growing closer to God. The camp will partner with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) for worksites each day and come together in the evenings for fellowship, praise and worship, and a message.
This year's theme "REVEAL," drawn from Luke 4:18-19, will consider how Jesus revealed who He was and what His mission is all about both for the world and each individual. Organizers believe that "God is ready to reveal something incredible to each and every participant this year."
The cost is $175/person.

Now Open: Winter Conference Registration!
January 11-14
Houston, Texas
Although Scripture is filled with examples of the presence and power of the Spirit operating in everything from the actual creation of our world (Genesis 1:2) to the transforming "new creation" of our personal lives (2 Cor. 3:18), the Holy Spirit has often been overlooked or ignored. At next year's Winter Conference in Houston, Texas, we will seek to correct this all-too-frequent omission. The theme for next year's conference will be "The Holy Spirit: Power for Mission."
Make plans now to join us January 11-14, 2012 - registration opens today! Plenary speakers for the event include Bishop Chuck Murphy, Dr. Jack Deere, Dr. Reggie McNeal, the Rev. Cynthia Brust, Bishop Philip Jones and the Rev. Kris McDaniel who will celebrate the Spirit's power for Mission and give voice to what the Spirit is doing in our midst - within the everyday life of the Anglican Mission. In addition to these presentations, the conference will feature practical workshops, encouraging fellowship, rich worship and much more. This is a great opportunity to introduce new church leaders and members to our community as well as invite friends to explore theAM!

"A primary value of theAM is assisting gifted leaders to take next steps for a positive contribution," Bob says. "Whether beginning a ministry path, identifying a major role or leaving a legacy, the Anglican Mission is committed to leadership development at every level for a life that makes a difference."

Concert Series Reaches Myrtle Beach for Christ
When David and Valerie Hawkins of All Saints Church in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, sensed God leading them to start a concert series, they wanted to be obedient to His call. So they planned to rent a 100-person tent and put it close to the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach, have some worship music going, and deliver a gospel message---- kind of like a simple, old tent revival once a month during tourist season.
But through a surprising turn of events, the Sunday Celebrations concert series has morphed into a weekly extravaganza with top Christian music artists drawing thousands to hear the Gospel.
