Many thanks to all those who attended Winter Conference 2011 - your prayers and presence made it another great event. The quality of the speakers, worship and fellowship opportunities exceeded our expectations! I am grateful for the WC team and numerous volunteers who worked with us.  Mark your calendars now for WC 2012 scheduled for January 11-14 at the Hilton Americas, Houston, Texas.

We would love to report on what's happening through your congregation! Send stories, photos or video links to Shelly Miller.

Spiritual Awakening in the Woodlands

woodlands awakening

Thirty pastors from The Woodlands, Texas, gathered for a retreat last year to repent and ask God for a spiritual awakening in their region.  This meeting resulted in a miraculous move of the Holy Spirit over a 21-day period and culminated in a gathering of 700 at HopePointe Church, an Anglican Mission congregation.

Movie

Blue Like Jazz
Steve Taylor on the set.

Most people know Steve Taylor as a Christian music icon of the '80s and '90s, but these days, he's involved in another art form as director of the film adaptation of Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. From assembling a stellar cast to struggling with fundraising, the filmmaker has given his all to make the movie a reality-with surprising help from his church.

Find out how Steve's church helped make the film.

The Rev. Jonathan Tagg wipes sweat from his forehead onto his dirt-splotched shirt to take a breather from digging 300 feet of ditch.  While snow is collecting around his church back in Blacksburg, Virginia, he warms up with a mission team in subtropical Belize, shoveling piles of dirt to protect roads from washing away in the rain around Toledo Christian Academy.

Music from the Mission

TheAM has harvested creative and original new worship sounds from our own churches around the Mission in a new project called Music from the Mission.  Written and produced by members of theAM, this first volume CD entitled, Lift Up Your Hearts, is a compilation of familiar songs like "Behold the Former Things" and "Agnus Dei," first introduced at previous Winter Conferences, as well as brand new songs that premiered at Winter Conference 2011.

This first release CD of nine tracks is sure to inspire and usher in the
