Pre-Winter Conference Ministry Course
Anglican School of Ministry will conduct a non-credit course, Intensive Introduction to Anglicanism (FOU 007), February 5-9 during the week prior to the 2011 Winter Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina. The course is designed to assist candidates to prepare for the distinctively Anglican issues on the ordination exams, especially those who come from a non-Anglican tradition. The course is also useful for anyone who wants a refresher in the treasures of our Anglican faith. The last two days of the course comprise the Liturgics Workshop (FOU 007a). Anyone may take this workshop without attending the first three days of the course.

2010 Atlanta Health Day: First-time Volunteer Jitters
 | | 2010 Atlanta Health Day Volunteers help guests sharpen interview skills and revise resumes. | Anne Corbitt has sweaty palms as she walks along Ellis Street in downtown Atlanta, Georgia in the morning sunlight. The blocked-off street is already full with some 600 homeless people flocking around tents filled with clothing, medical staff and eager volunteers sitting behind computer monitors. At 28, it's her first time to sit down face to face with anyone homeless in her beloved city. As a new volunteer for Health Day, an annual event co-sponsored by Lazarus Ministries of Trinity Anglican Church, Anne learns what a difference a day makes.
Read Anne's own story here.

Read the CNN iReport and see more photos.
If anyone is interested in collaborating to make events like this happen in other cities, please email Lazarus!

When Feeding People Isn't Enough
Finding a job can be difficult for many in today's economy, but it's even harder for those who are homeless or have a spotty job history. In Colorado, two Anglican Mission congregations partnered to serve as "people of peace" for those who may otherwise be without hope. Read more here about how you can do the same in your community.
