BVU Community Christmas Tree Lighting

Monday, November 30th - 6:30 pm

 For the fourth consecutive year, BVU will herald in the Christmas season by
sponsoring a Chrstmas Tree-Lighting at Cumberland Square in downtown Bristol Virginia. Set for Monday, November 30, at 6:30 p.m. 
      
 The event showcases the site's stately 45-foot Norwegian Spruce, which BVU technitions decorate with thousands of lights - about 18,000 of them - for a dramatic and joyous ceremonial display."We are proud to be associated with a traditional Christmas celebration that families look forward to year after year," says BVU President and CEO Wes Rosenbalm. "It's a special occasion and a time of thoughtful reflection for the entire community."Cider and hot chocolate will be provided, and Christmas music will be performed by the John Battle High Marching Trojan Band, as well as music by the Tri-Cities Christian Combined School Choir and the Virginia High School Choir. Virginia Intermont Students will also be on hand to provide photography services. Attendees are invited to bring their own handbells to ring at the close of the event and welcome the Christmas season!
