Keynote Speaker: Allen Hurley, President, Touchstone Wireless
Allen will be sharing the story of how Touchstone Wireless came to be!
You won't want to miss this rare opportunity to hear the Touchstone story from the man who started it all.

Bio: Allen Hurley is a 1993 graduate of Northeast State Technical Community College majoring in Electronic Engineering. After graduating from Northeast State, he worked for Centel Cellular, owned now by Alltel. In 1998, he started his own company, Image 1 Wireless, and began refurbishing cell phones in a neighbor's garage. Shortly thereafter, the business outgrew the garage and continued growing resulting in a move into a 47,000 square foot facility.  In September 2005, Image 1 Wireless merged with Eastern Wireless to form Touchstone Wireless, the largest national repair and reverse logistics solutions company in North America offering nine manufacturer certifications.

Touchstone Wireless currently occupies over 250,000 square feet with four locations. A facility was opened in Puerto Rico in May, 2006 and in September, 2006 the Bristol facility moved to a new 100,000 square foot location. Touchstone Wireless is the only company to hold nine high-level certifications for factory direct repair work with companies such as Motorola, Nokia, LG, Audiovox, Samsung, Kyocera, and Sony Ericsson. Touchstone Wireless added two additional certifications in 2006 and now employees more than 1,400 employees. With over 500 employees in the facility in Bristol, Touchstone Wireless is one of Sullivan County's top employers.

Hurley also serves on the Committee for the Networks Partnership Committee, a joint economic development partnership in Sullivan County. In 2006, he received The Outstanding Alumni Award for Northeast State Technical Community College where he is a member of the President's Trust and sits on The Foundation Board of Directors.
