NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM presented by RM Auctions
TO KICK-OFF AACA HERSHEY FALL MEET WEEK
HERSHEY, Pa (9/23/11) - Attention, automobile enthusiasts! The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Club, Library and Museum along with RM Auctions have again joined forces to host the 5th annual Night at the Museum event celebrating The Motoring Hobby, on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. This eagerly awaited evening will feature friends and fellowship among enthusiasts as you enjoy an evening of fine cars, food, beverages, entertainment and more. Night at the Museum is a fitting kick-off to this year's AACA Eastern Division Hershey Fall Meet. This year during the fall meet, officials are expecting 1,250 antique cars and 9,000 flea-market spaces, as well as about 1,000 cars for sale in the car corral making Hershey a must visit destination for all automotive enthusiasts from October 5-8th.
Guests visiting the AACA Museum will enjoy "Leading the Pack: 100 Years of Indy 500 Pace Cars," a special exhibit showcasing 23 automobiles including Pace cars, Race cars and Pace Car replicas. Also, guests will be treated to a 1929 Stearns Knight Deluxe-H-8-90 Cab-Roadster, which is on special loan to the museum from October 2-7, 2011. This "one of one" luxury automobile features an eight-cylinder engine that is capable of speeds up to 110 miles per hour. This is a special Hershey Week addition to the five other Sterns Knights that are part of the Museum collection. As always, guests will enjoy a cruise through time featuring vehicles from the early 1900's through the 1970's. 
Entertainment for Night at the Museum will be provided by two live acts: rhythm & blues band Jazz Me and professional pianist Katie Rudolph. Automotive art displays will feature prominent artists: Dan McCrary, Dan Reed, David Snyder, Randy Owens, Tony Sikorski and Mark Watts. These artists offer a variety of styles and formats and their art pieces will be available for viewing during Night at the Museum and throughout Meet Week. Artists will also be on site to talk with visitors and some will be working on new creations right here throughout the week. Last but not least, Strolling models wearing fashions from Mary Eileen's and M.E. Too, boutique shops for women in Hershey, will be strolling throughout Night at the Museum showcasing the latest fashions. 
Car Guy Jonathan Klinger and the 1930 Ford Model A will make their way to the AACA Museum during the Night at the Museum event as a conclusion to his year-long trek. Klinger has driven the Model A every day for a year, tracking his progress via a blog at http://www.365DaysOfA.com. Jonathan will arrive here at the Museum between 6:15 and 6:30 pm to conclude his tour and will be on hand for photos and to talk with guests throughout the evening.  The night will also include a silent auction with a unique assortment of items and opportunities up for bidding. Highlights include: Your vehicle on the cover of Antique Automobile magazine; Original artwork provided by each of the evening's featured artists; Your vehicle on a turntable in the main lobby of the AACA Museum; Overnight accommodations at the Arizona Biltmore and complimentary admission and bidder registration for the RM Auction January 2012; A custom-framed photo of the RMS Titanic and framed movie poster from Titanic personally signed by Mr. Al Giddings.

The Antique Auto Museum at Hershey, a member of the Smithsonian Institute Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900's - 1970's in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.
