2011 FAC Campus Food Drive |
The Society of Black Public Health Professionals (SBPHP), Public Health Student Association (PHSA), & Public Health Community Service Organization (PHCSO) are participating in the FAC's first ever Food Drive Challenge taking place between November 8th- December 5th!!
Don't be fooled though, this is no ordinary Food Drive; it is a competition of points! You can find the rules and outline of the competition here. Keep in mind though, the winning class will be receiving free breakfast burritos for the entire school (up to 250 ppl) at the beginning of the Spring semester!
The School of Public Health is competing against TCOM 2014, TCOM 2015, and School of Health Professions.
There are boxes set up all around the School of Public Health (a box in every departmental office) for you to drop items in for points.
The point breakdown is as follows:
1 point: canned soups
2 points: canned fruits and veggies
5 points: canned meats and bags of dried beans and rice
Negative 8 points: jars of peanut butter
Yes that's right, negative 8 points for peanut butter. You can take points away from another team by "canning" their boxes! Just remember not to put the peanut butter in your own box! There will also be certain days where cans will count double the points, so be sure to keep an eye out for those e-mails.
**The boxes will be counted in the FAC at 4:00pm each day and a point update will be sent out. |
