SERVICES FOR GENERAL DONN A. STARRY

 

The Starry family has announced services for General Donn Starry will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Canton, Ohio.

 

Arrangements for the service are being handled by Welch-Sekers-Lewis Funeral Home. Online access to their guest book and other information can be found at wslfh.com.

 

Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced.

 

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Starry family.

The summer newsletter should be hitting your mailboxes any day. Please insure your name is correct----while Gene Johnson continues improving our mailing data, we still find name/address mismatches. ANNUAL 1901 CLUB OPERATING FUND MAIL-OUTS

 

The membership voted to change the schedule of our operations fund mail out from the December-January time to September each year. This our only fundraising initiative other than for the scholarship fund. Don Wicks has prepared the mail out and submitted it to the printer for a September 2011 mailing. Please watch your mail box for a September delivery. We strongly urge your participation----the revitalization and growth of the association is firmly tethered to this fundraiser.

2012 WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA REUNION  

 

Glenn Snodgrass and his great crew have planned an interesting reunion during the period June 7 - 10, 2012. Please register early so the planners can insure our meetings and banquet halls are of adequate size to accommodate the various events. Our attendance numbers are growing each year and we need good estimates of attendance in order to insure we do not over commit for the various event venues. It is also recommended that you reserve your hotel room early. The hotel has a very satisfactory cancellation policy. More detailed reunion information is posted at  www.blackhorse.com.
