Join MDR Community Partner, Some of Us Are Brave, at this year's Pan African Film & Arts Festival

Greetings!

Some of Us Are Brave is celebrating the 2010 Pan African Film Festival as a Community Collaborator!  They are partnering with PAFF for the screening of "Ebony Goddesses:  Queen of Ile Aiye" and "Cinderella, Wolves and One Prince Charming."  These two films about our sisters in Brazil take a look at efforts to redefine the concept of beauty from an African-centered point of view, and the lives of women who view sex tourism as their ticket out of poverty.  The films will be shown together and there will be a SHORT Q-and-A session afterwards.

"Ebony Goddesses:  Queen of Ile Aiye" and "Cinderella, Wolves and One Prince Charming" will make its Los Angeles Premiere at the Pan African Film Festival on Tuesday, February 16 at 9:45 p.m.  Tickets for this event are only $10 and can be purchased at the Culver Plaza Theatres, 9919 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City.
