A Rose of Thanks a non profit sending personalized greeting cards to our troops since Valentines Day of 2007 has received its letter approving its status as a 501 c 3 a public Charity with donations being made to A Rose of Thanks are tax deductible.  A Rose of Thanks was started by Matthew Hunt at the beginning of 2007 after being robbed twice at gunpoint within the last 90 days of 2006. 

 

 

I would like to offer a special thank you to Cindy Roy and the TIPS groups both in Concord and Salisbury for being instrumental is helping a Rose of Thanks grow. 

 

Thank you to Deb & Mike Long for their help with our website! and not minding me taking that call during our 1st meeting from Gavin at GBK Productions for the opportunity to attend the 2007 Emmy gift suite and have celebrities such as Paula Abdul, William Baldwin, Leeza Gibbons, Corey Reynolds, and others.

 

Thank you to the Valero Alamo Bowl for saying yes to having us as a part of your fan zone the last few years. Thank you to the Vans Warped Tour for contacting me last year about being involved and thank you for inviting & encouraging A Rose of Thanks to participate in the 1st Annual Country Throwdown Tour.

 

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to pursue this 501 c 3 status. 

 

It would not be a complete thank you without thanking our troops for "Defending the US and us",  & everyone who has taken the time to sign and personalize one of our cards over 20,000 have gone out and over 40,000 lives touched!!

 

A Rose of Thanks will continue thinking out of the box to keep our troops in the front of every one's mind even as we draw down forces in the gulf our service men and women are serving everywhere around the world and in your hometown as reservists and National Guardsmen and Women. 

The picture is getting bigger and clearer. All of my real estate & mortgage contacts getting this please contact me about where we are going in the next few years. Celebrities who would like to lend a voice to the message please contact me about how we can incorporate A Rose of Thanks into causes you are passionate about & projects you are working on. We will be updating the website to post job opportunities & should any one reading this be experieinced writing grant requests please contact me thank you.

 About A Rose of Thanks

 

 

Started in January of 2007, after being robbed twice at gunpoint in the last 90 days of 2006,

 

founder, Matthew Hunt, realized he was blessed to be alive and said it was time to give back.

 

The original idea was to send every troop in the gulf a Valentines Day card and a rose to say

 

thank you for defending the US and us.  Mr. Hunt, and Yolanda Gamboa came up with the hand

 

drawn rose that you see on the outside of the greeting card, the thing that is unique about the

 

card  is that the individuals signing the card can color it their own.

 

A Rose of Thanks has sent out over 20,000 cards since Valentines Day of 07 and has been

 

funded by donations from friends and family but mostly from the tips Mr Hunt makes driving for
