I apologize for taking so long this month to get you this newsletter. I have been busy have been on 8 of the Country Throwdown Tour dates.  I have gotten over 1250 cards and have some friends doing the Irvine, CA show on the 19th of June.  Last weekend I drove over 1500 miles in a car with no AC and got over 600 cards signed for our troops. A ton of the Artists on the tour have personalized a card or two including Emily West. Jonathan Singleton & The Grove, Heather Morgan, Sarah Buxton, Tyler Reeve and Jack Ingram to name a few.

 

The one cool thing about this tour has been learning about some of the other non profits. like Keep A Breast, Peta, Wounded Warrior Project,  Virginia ShoreKeepers & the Canvas Foundation, it is about sharing what each other does to have a bigger voice.  I mean it was pretty cool to help out Keep A Breast sell some I <3 Boobies gear in VA Beach! and pass out info on the Canvas Foundation & Wounded Warrior Project at the shows I went to that they didn't.  Not sure how to do it but I think I found something I would enjoy doing more than driving for Dominos & that is being on the road cooking for the tour... It would bring back the Army memories of cooking for hundreds and having fun to! The other thing that was amazing was the family atmosphere of the Whole group on this tour!  

 

So what is NEXT finding a sponsor to help us purchase a Display for the Domino's Convention in Las Vegas July 19th through the 23d.  Looking for a 10x 10 backdrop w/ graphics to showcase the cards, the people who have signed them & our message of A Rose of Thanks being Art Fun & A Simple yet Powerful way to say thank you to the Men and women Defending the Us & us!   

 

 

Just one more thing there are two events happening in Nashville for flood related fundraisers:  KE$HA is having a concert on June 16 at the Limelight proceeds from ticket sales go to flood victims!

 

& on June 22 at the Bridgestone Arena Tim McGraw & Faith Hill are putting on the Nashville Rising concert with an A List of Country Stars,

 

Oh and should you be a season ticket holder of Major sporting events consider donating tickets you can not use to Vet Tix Foundation they provide tickets to veterans & active duty military to major sporting events www.vettix.org
