FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A Rose of Thanks has created a Card for 1st Responders

We are celebrating the 8th Anniversary of 9-11 with a New Card
Charlotte, NC - September 11, 2009 - A Rose of Thanks, a non-profit organization with the goal of sending a Thank You Card every single U.S. Armed Service member in the Gulf Region; has partnered with a newly formed company called PL8ED to use their design on the new 1st Responder Card.    It is because of the sacrifices our Police officers Firefighters and 1st responders that we can be safe in our cities and country!

The verse on the inside reads :

   Thank you
for  putting your
life and safety
on the line everyday,
so that we
might enjoy ours!

This was drawn using a book of stamps folded in half and a Peach Rose (A Rose of Thanks) business card.

Keeping with the A Rose of Thanks theme this design is in Black and White.  The cover can be personalized by the person signing the card. The Cards will be available on A Rose of Thanks web site next week.  Like I said during May which is Military Appreciation Month we need to keep thanking the brave men and women serving and protecting us on a daily basis.  This design will be used year round as a friendly reminder the We Will Always Remember and Never Forget

Please pick one of the following designs to help determine which one we will use.
We could use both. Let me know what you think at  matthew@aroseofthanks.org

About A Rose of Thanks

In January 2007, after being robbed twice at gunpoint in the last 90 days of 2006, Matthew Hunt realized he was blessed to be alive and said it was time to give back. Hunt founded A Rose of Thanks with the original idea of sending every troop in the gulf a Valentine's Day card and a rose to say "thank you" for defending the U.S and its citizens. Hunt and Yolanda Gamboa created with the hand drawn rose (a peach rose signifies thanks and gratitude) now seen on the outside of the organizations' greeting card. Individuals have the unique ability to sign and personalize each card by coloring the rose and cover.

"It is because of sacrifices made daily by our troops, and their families, that we are able to live in the greatest country in the world," said Matthew Hunt, founder of A Rose of Thanks. "If everyone of us took just 10 minutes a month to write a note or send a card, then no service member would ever go without receiving a piece of mail. What's 10 minutes when these men and women are risking their lives 24/7/365 to defend the freedoms we enjoy everyday?"

A Rose of Thanks has sent out over 10,000 cards since Valentine's Day 2007 and is funded by donations from friends and family, but mostly from tips Hunt makes driving for Domino's Pizza. Please visit www.aroseofthanks.org for more details.
