Happy New Years! May your new year be blessed, prosperous and successful.  And may we continue to send our love and appreciation to the brave men and women defending the freedoms we enjoy daily.
 
In less than two weeks we will be welcoming a new president.  Let's not expect him to deliver on all of his campaign promises, but expect and believe that change is possible and it starts with you and me. 
 
My goals for A Rose of Thanks this year are:
  • To send out over 20,000 cards to our troops;
  • Continue to develop and implement fund raising opportunities through A Rose of Thanks for other non profits;
  • Participate in the National Stationary Show in New York City in May 2009;
  • Have a presence in at least one of the NASCAR races in Charlotte;
  • Become a bigger resource that other non profits can turn to for ideas and partnerships;
  • Sponsor a fundraising concert in June 2009 or 2010 to not only raise money for A Rose of Thanks but for food banks; and
  • To share the passion of making a difference with everyone.

If you are a student, A Rose of Thanks is an awesome community service program.

If you are an individual or business owner, A Rose of Thanks is a tax deductible, simple way to give back to those who make the freedoms we enjoy today possible.

Just a little something to think about:  If each person who is subscribed to this newsletter can get friends and family to do just 100 cards, we would more than double my goal of 20,000 cards for 2009.   If each person would do only 10 cards, we would be 1/4 of the way to making the goal!  Together we can make this happen.  I invite each of you to think of how you can help make it happen.  If you or your group needs cards, please contact me immediately!  It is because of networking through MySpace, Facebook and building relationships with the people who have helped us along the way, coupled with my passion to serve, that A Rose of Thanks has grown to where it is today.   Again, Happy New Years!
