 rose of thanks
November 2008
Dear :

As we enter into November and this Holiday season, please take a moment to give thanks to our Veterans and First Responders who make our world a safer place.

Lets pray that our President Elect will get this country back to what made it great:  Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Choice and most importantly, Freedom of Religion.  These values are what our country was founded on and it seems as if we are losing more and more of these to be politically correct and accommodate others.  God bless us all and God Bless America!

I am thankful that I live in the greatest country on the planet.  When you see a soldier, say "Thank You."  When you see a police officer or firefighter, say "Thank You."  When you see a teacher, say "Thank You."  This month is about giving thanks so say "Hi" and "Thank You" this month and make someone else's day!

Veteran's Day is Tuesday, November 11, 2008 and A Rose of Thanks is going to be out in the community.

We'll be at Carolina Mall in Concord, NC personalizing cards from November 7 through November 11, 2008.  The finished cards will be hung on the wall in the Sears wing for all to see.  Then on November 12 we are going to take them down and send them to the troops serving in the Gulf.   Suggested donation is $1.00 per card.   Also, should you wish to bring new or used CDs or DVDs to send over to our troops, please bring those as well.

Next, the VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC has invited us to be a part of their event at JR Motorsports on Satyrday November 8, 2008 from 11am-3pm for returning veterans from both Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom This is open to the public.

Also on Veterans Day, November 11, we will be at Chick-Fil-A in front of the Super Wal Mart in Concord, NC from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm for people to personalize cards.

Recently, I was introduced to Artists and Angels Against Aids.   They have chosen A Rose of Thanks for their new card cover.   Check out this cause at www.myspace.com/artistsandangels.  Again, remember to thank a Veteran this month!   Many sacrifices have been made for the freedoms we enjoy today.
