Dear :
There were some inspirational stories I have read over the last couple weeks and thought they would be good to share.
One was of a mother and wife who was trapped in her truck after it crashed down an embankment and survived for five days. This woman is a survivor; she survived on her finger nails and cupping rain water in her hands to drink. The power of visualization and faith came into play as she visualized her children at moments when they were their happiest. God has a plan for all of us, there is a reason she survived. She may not know what that is now but she will find out
The second is about Mr. Ed McMahon's financial difficulty and how the media has been broadcasting it in the papers. I was out in California for a few months earlier this year and read with interest one article about Ed McMahon's house being in foreclosure. After reading the article (note: I have seven plus years mortgage experience), the first thing that popped into my head was to do some research and see how I might be able to recommend a solution if he wants to stay in the house.
Based on his age and the fact that there was still some equity left in the house, he would have qualified for a reverse mortgage; finding a lender for a loan that size would have been difficult but doable. The other thing that came to mind is why didn't his loan officer or advisor recommend mortgage credit insurance? This is the type of policy that credit card companies offer so that if you lose your job or are unable to make a payment due to loss of income from your inability to work, the payment would be made for you.
The only other way was if someone bought his house and let him stay there. That someone was none other than Donald Trump. McMahon sold his house, but not to Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump tries to help a person with the thing he is an expert in and they do not take his advice, why?
So what do these stories have to do with A Rose of Thanks? Everything. First, A Rose of Thanks is a result of being called to serve others after being a survivor.
Second, I need a few advisors to assist in the direction of A Rose of Thanks. I have the vision and the mission, but getting it from my head to paper to making it happen is another thing. I am looking for a team to have brainstorming sessions and then taking the ideas and implementing the best ones.
If you are a student in graphic design or fashion and want some real world experience, I am looking for a person to help develop a line of t-shirts and merchandise to help fund the printing of cards and postage expenses.
