Greetings!
Wow! What a two week period for A Rose of Thanks! On March 22nd we were out at Bear Rock Café at Carolina Mall, Concord, NC, having people personalizing a card for our troops when Sarah Trexler, the founder of "We Can Make a Difference in The World" club at her school, First Assembly Christian School in Concord, came by and dropped off over 250 cards personalized by the students at her school. I really admire Sarah, she is a strong person. In the two short months that I have known her, she has been in a lot of pain or not feeling well. When I first met with her club to tell them about A Rose of Thanks and the difference that one card and one person's passion can make, she was recovering from kidney stones. Then when she dropped off the cards on the 22nd, she said she was just getting over mono. My point is that even though she has been enduring this pain and sickness she still had the time to distribute, explain, collect and drop off the cards to us.
So my question to you is: How much time would it take for each person reading this newsletter to write a note of thanks to both our service members and their families left behind while they go out and defend the very freedoms we enjoy everyday? Five minutes? 15 minutes? Time is the only thing that we all have the same amount of, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day. It is what we do with it to help others that makes a difference. Click here to see what a difference ten minutes can make.
A Rose of Thanks has grown because I put time in before I go to work every day and time in when I get off work. And other people have donated their time and services.
