You've seen our emails about what has happened in Parma and now the opposition is doubling down their efforts to remove Abstinence Education from the Parma School System.
Last Monday night, Parma Councilwoman Mary Galinas introduced a resolution on the Parma City Council in support of Operation Keepsake and abstinence education in Parma. There is strong support for the resolution but the opposition is putting pressure on the council members with phone calls and emails. They need to hear from you and the majority of residents who are opposed to comprehensive sex education.
If you live in Parma please contact your Council representative directly and voice your support for Operation Keepsake and Abstinence Education in the Parma School System. If you live in Parma Hts or Seven Hills you may also contact the Parma City Council.
The media wants to keep everyone in the dark about what comprehensive sex education really is by telling us that it is just birth control education. NOT TRUE There are many reasons why comprehensive sex education is not good for students but here's just a couple reasons to say NO to "comprehensive sex education" (like what is taught and not working in the Cleveland Public Schools):
Comprehensive Sex Education
1) Teaches students that ending a pregnancy with abortion is an option to consider.
2) Removes language that acknowledges that marriage is between a man and a woman and instead places emphasis on "committed relationships" and the various sexual relationship acts that students can engage in.
Why would we want this in Parma | Parma Hts | Seven Hills for students in the Parma School System?
It is important to note that the Parma School System is in FULL compliance with regulations for teaching students about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) with the State of Ohio.
Ask yourself this question: If Operation Keepsake is out, what will be put in it's place? What are the other curriculum options that would be introduced and who are the beneficiaries of the decision to implement comprehensive sex education? Follow the money: it leads to Planned Parenthood; an "industry" which includes contaceptive products, education curriculums and yes--abortion services.
