It will not be news to most of you that the Boston branch of Upton Bass has been around for nearly two years. Eager to offer the Boston double bass community the same convenient and readily accessible services as our Connecticut shop, Gary began brainstorming and plotting to make the Boston branch a full-time location. After much preparation and planning, we are thrilled to announce that our Boston showroom is now open five days a week! Located at 1108 Boylston Street, right on the doorstep of the Berklee College of Music, our Boston shop offers the same outstanding double bass services you've come to love from Upton Bass. Whether you are in need of repairs or restorations, bow re-hairs or new strings and accessories, or if you would like to audition one of our fine new or vintage double basses, Upton Bass Boston has you covered!

Upton Bass Boston will be open the same hours as the Connecticut workshop; Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm. The Boston shop will be managed by Josh, a former employee of Upton Bass returning after a four year venture west to pursue his art, with Jack as his right hand man for setup and repair issues, and Gary popping in from time to oversee operations. Need a bow re-haired? Josh has you covered! Need a repair or a new setup? Book an appointment with Jack! Whether you're a student at the NEC or Berklee, a member of the BSO, or a double bassist playing gigs in the city, Upton Bass Boston offers friendly and professional service and consultation for all your double bass needs.
