 "Hi!" Did I get your attention with the name tweak?Happy Day after Thanksgiving! Mine was great and I hope yours was too! Eleven of my family members sat around a table and ate entirely too much food and gave thanks for what we have. Not a bad way to spend the day. My grandfather usually has jazz on lightly in the background...and I found myself drifting in and out of conversations listening to the bass and brass/piano trade off on "So What", and I always love asking my daughters what the horns are saying...and having them softly singing "so what" along with the horns... Speaking of horns, Dave Bargeron stopped in with his Concert Special Deluxe this week for a tweak. Dave has been in the shop many times over the course of the past two years, and now that he has some solid playing time on his Upton, I grabbed the camera and setup to do a quick interview. Dave is a great personality and we thank him for his patronage and friendship! Be sure to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy my interview! This is a very solidly German built instrument assembled and finished by William de Sola in Wilton, Connecticut. Fully carved wide-grain Spruce top with well-flamed maple ribs and canted back. All of the components are of the highest quality. Great tone and clarity, booming resonance with a compact easily-ported size. Has the feel of an early small-shop Juzek with none of the problems!
