Greetings!

"Hi"

Well here we are, it's 2011...and this is going to be a very big year!

The ISB convention is right around the corner!  The Upton Bass countdown timer is ticking away on our BLOG and wood is hitting the floor for my sophomore showing in the competition.  Our freshman attempt was rewarded with a unconditional Silver Medal for Tone and the pressure is on for this next bass!

2011 also has some plans for new options and models with our basses!  A Busetto upgrade, a copy of a vintage American laminated bass, and other upgrades are in the works.  Keep watching!

So, without further ado, I bring you some Friday night double bass goodness!

And remember...if you have ANY links, news, videos, etc. you want to share, eMail it to me at eroy@uptonbass.com and I'll be sure to share it.  Oh...and if you just want to say "Hi" you can do that too!

Have a nice weekend!

Travis Book, bassist for the Grammy nominated band The Infamous Stringdusters, sent in this little video and update:

The Band was interviewed for Fretboard Journal, there will probably be a feature article at some point, but the photographer got some really amazing photos of my Standard, I'll put him in touch with you, you'll at least find them interesting if not useful.

best,
