Bassists Still Need Help!!!
Low Notes For Nashville http://www.lownotesfornashville.org/ Low Notes for Nashville is a group of dedicated bassists whose mission
is to help our brother and sister musicians affected by the Nashville
flooding. For musicians, nothing is more devastating than the loss of
the tools of your trade. We form a relationship with our instruments,
forged on years of learning, loving, and performing together. Emotions
are shared between the two, a bond that can never be replaced or
reproduced. We feel for their loss, and hope to lessen the sting. Can
you help? |
Tin Can Bass? YouTube Everyone has seen the card board box bass...and last week you saw the balloon bass...now this week it's a tin can! Don't let the beginning of this video fool you...keep watching. |
Prodigious Technique
YouTube Hi, Eric. I have been a proud owner of an Upton hybrid bass for
almost two years now. I couldn't be happier. I wanted to share this
video of Ron Carter as it is well produced and clearly shows his
prodigious technique. Gary should get a kick out of this. Hope you
can use it in the Upton Report. This should inspire a lot of players to
get back in the wood shed. It certainly inspired me. Good luck and
best wishes in this venture. Mark T. |
MILES MOSLEY "Voodoo Child"
YouTube
I first want to say that the Upton Report is a great idea. Can't wait to
see what it has in the future! Here's a guy I'm in love with at the
moment, his name is Miles Mosley and he does some pretty awesome stuff
with the upright. Here's a link to a youtube video of him playing Jimi
Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child'.Enjoy!
