Future Educators of ASPIRA Association
The new Future Educators of ASPIRA Association (FEAA) at ASPIRA Early College High School had the opportunity to participate in two field trips in the month of April. First, FEAA visited the main campus of Northeastern Illinois University. At Northeastern, the club was given a campus tour and listened to a seminar concerning issues such as, financial aid, college student experiences, and student enrollment requirements.
The second field trip took place in Humboldt Park on Earth Day, which provided the students with an opportunity to give back to their community by cleaning the park with other local organizations. Both field trips allowed club members to grow in character and build leadership skills that will serve to strengthen them in their exploration of education as a possible future career choice. The club sponsor is Bethany Groff, a Humanities teacher at ASPIRA Early College High School.
