Botox vs.Dysport
Dysport is little cheaper, but you need 3 times more than Botox |
A year ago in May FDA approved of DYSPORT, a direct competitor of BOTOX�. The launch of DYSPORT (also known as Reloxin) in the U.S. as an anti-wrinkle treatment has caused a lot of questions, mainly how does it compare to Botox?
What are the differences? There have been some reports that claim Dysport works faster and lasts longer. Does it?
The usual treatment of glabellar lines (between eyebrows) requires 20 units of Botox, but it will take about 60 units of Dysport to achieve the same results. Therefore expect Dysport to be priced at 2-3 times less per unit than Botox.
Botox at Body Focus costs $10 per unit, if we were to offer Dysport, the price would be $ 3 per unit.
If you choose to get Dysport treatment, make sure you won't be paying more than $ 3 per unit, otherwise it becomes more pricey than Botox.

What's new in Fat Business? One of the new technologies under review is Cryolipolysis or "fat freezing."
Does it work? We're not 100% sure yet, but if it's got enough proof and enough physician feedback and happy patient users, we'll have it. The technology is currently under FDA approval review.
 How is the procedure supposed to get rid of fat? First the area being treated has to get very very cold. Supercooling the fat layers starts a process of fat cell breakdown. Once disrupted, the contents of the fat cells are carried away in the blood stream.
Cryoliposis is not designed for generalized overall fat removal. It will target small areas of localized fat (such as love handles) for those who are otherwise of normal weight.
Do not attempt a 'home-version' of this procedure. Without precisely controlled temperature and protection to your skin's surface, you can cause freeze burning which is very dangerous.
We can't freeze your fat off just yet, but we can:
melt it with Lipo-Ex, dissolve with mesotherapy,
remove with Zerona, burn with HCG
and shake it off with TurboSonic.

Airport Body Scanning Raises Radiation Exposure |

Air passengers should be made aware of the health risks of airport body screenings and governments must explain any decision to expose the public to higher levels of cancer-causing radiation, a restricted report said.
Pregnant women and children should not be subject to scanning, even though the radiation dose from body scanners is "extremely small," said the Inter-Agency Committee on Radiation Safety report, which is restricted to the agencies concerned and not meant for public circulation.
The group includes the European Commission, International Atomic Energy Agency, Nuclear Energy Agency and the World Health Organization.
