Greetings,
As many of you know our new treatment for body shaping and fat removal, the LIPOTRON Lipoplasty, is already here and first patients have started their treatments.
In this issue of our Newsletter I'd like to tell you about Red Light (Lightwave) treatment and what it can do for stretch marks and skin thightening.

Say good-bye to Stretch Marks |
The Red Light (LIGHTWAVE) treatment is truly the first Low Level Laser Light Therapy system designed specifically for dermal enhancement and rejuvenation. It's non-invasive, painless, inexpensive and effective. It increases collagen and elastin formation which reduces flaccidity, lifts sagging tissues and restores skin tone.
How Red Light (LIGHTWAVE) works? LIGHTWAVE provides infrared (invisible to the eye) and visible red light that helps the cells of the human tissue heal and reconstruct itself. It reduces the appearance of stretch marks by breaking down the subdermal scarring and stimulating circulation to reduce flaccidity. It helps thicken the thin, paper-like skin of "thin" stretch marks and assists in softening and flattening "thick" stretch marks. Red Light is effective for new and old, flat and raised stretch marks.
For flat stretch marks 10-15 sessions are required. Darker skin and deep stretch marks may require more sessions. Exfoliating treatments (like microdermabrasion or vibraderm) done in between sessions markedly speed up the process of stretch mark repair.

8 sessions over 4 weeks
Get ready for bikini season.

Why a 100% effective Diet Pill would lead to a health catastrophe? |
A perfect biological diet pill would turn on genes at the cellular level to rid the body of excess fat cells and then help restore our youthful contour.
While the development of a truly effective fat-loss pill would result in a short-term reduction in obesity-related disease, the deadly effects of people chronically overeating (since they would not have to worry about weight gain) would cause a long-term health catastrophe greater than the epidemic of overweight and obesity does today.
Eating too many calories at one time creates a dangerous state in which the bloodstream is overloaded with fats and sugars long after a meal is consumed. When this overload lasts for sustained periods, a condition known as "postprandial oxidative stress" ensues that damages the arterial walls and is associated with a higher risk of atherosclerosis, obesity, and diabetes.

Avoiding the Radiation Dangers of CAT Scans |
One of the most important advances in modern medicine was the development of computerized axial tomography (CAT or CT) scans.
While they provide valuable information, CAT scans expose the body to the amount of radiation equivalent of up to 750 chest X-rays. The radiation exposure from these tests can often lead to DNA breaks that may foster the initiation of cancer.
The annual number of CAT scans performed in the United States skyrocketed from 3 million scans in 1980 to an estimated 62 million scans today. Many scientists believe an epidemic of radiation-induced cancer is imminent.
Radiation exposure is cumulative over the course of a lifetime, and it is particularly damaging when it occurs at a young age.
With one or more CAT scans, it is possible to accrue the amount of radiation exposure experienced by survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who later succumbed to cancer.
While CAT scans have an important role in diagnosing symptomatic patients, they should not be used as screening tools for healthy individuals. There are no demonstrated benefits of screening asymptomatic patients, while the risks of radiation exposure are well documented. The problem is that too many health care professionals casually recommend these scans to patients who are asymptomatic and who just want to know what's going on inside their bodies.

The latest BOTOX news |
Reloxin, a cousin of Botulinum Toxin A for treatment of facial
wrinkles haven't received FDA approval. Reloxin has been used in
Europe and Canada for several years under the name of Dysport.
It works similarly to Botox, but has a quicker onset, which means you
see results faster. It diffuses more which allows for larger area to be
treated as a result of toxin migrating away from injection site.
The downside- amount of Reloxin has to be three times as much as Botox to obtain the same results.
PurTox- another Botox alternative is currently in the final phase of clinical trials. This product is composed solely of the toxin, while Botox is the toxin surrounded by protein. It means that PurTox could deliver results comparable to Botox using less product and possibly less injections.
Botox has become the number one aesthetic treatment in US with more than 3 million procedures performed yearly. 93% of Botox patients are women.
