 Started this painting last summer while I was a vendor at Saratoga Race Track. There are beautiful race tracks across the country but there's only one Saratoga. It's a destination. A place to aspire to. A keeper of history with infamous records and facts and many stories both well known and whispered. Saratoga keeps it's head above the troubled waters. Just thought you'd like to know...

 Did you see the film "Secretariat"? Yes, it had inaccuracies. The real story was about Penny Chenery and her strength, persistence and determination. The cinematography was outstanding as it illustrated the dynamic power of the horses thundering on the track. I envisioned a hundred paintings as I was inspired by the sheer magnitude of these magnificent animals.
One of the highlights of my summer in Saratoga, New York, was having the opportunity to meet the real Ron Turcotte. Way cool.
