Dear EWN Members & Friends:
EWN is celebrating its 30-year anniversary. This is quite an accomplishment for any organization, but for a non-profit led solely by volunteers, this is nothing short of extraordinary.
The term of the current EWN Board ends in June, 2012 and the current Board, most of whom have already served for more than a year, will not be seeking an additional term. In order for this beloved organization's activities to continue for the next crop of eager entrepreneurs, volunteers for Board and Committee positions are needed now. If you have made a commitment to grow your business this year, what better way than to take on a leadership position in a well-known women's network? Not only will this bring awareness of you and your business in the community, but it will enable you to meet and get to know other women in leadership positions.
In order to ensure a smooth transition to a new Board, we need to hear from any and all interested women no later than March 1, 2012. The current Board and volunteers have worked tirelessly to streamline processes so as to be able to more efficiently organize and bring to you great workshops and luncheon speakers via the work of fewer volunteer hands. That said, we want the next group of EWN leaders to hit the ground running, having received training from us and feeling great about their new roles!
Please consider this a most serious call to action. If you would like to learn more and volunteer, contact Anne Wilkins, Mindy Kannon or Laima Abbas today.
And...as always, we look forward to seeing you at an upcoming EWN event.
Kind regards,
Anne Wilkins
EWN President
