October 2011 - Issue 10

Dear EWN Members & Friends:

We hope you enjoyed our second event of the 2011-2012 year which was our October 13 Morning Workshop with Crystal Girgenti on how to profit from social media.  If you're like me, what to post where and when gets to be a bit overwhelming after a while!

On November 1, we'll be at 55 Degrees Wine Bar in Fairfield to enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres with some relaxed AfterHours networking.  Please bring a friend and introduce them around.

Our November 10 Luncheon features Karen Graves, founder of Your Sales Fix.  Karen will help us all to diminish our reluctance to sell ourselves, products and services, wherever we are on the "sales comfort" continuum.

Our December 8 Luncheon (to be posted on the website shortly) will educate us on the "do's and don'ts" of starting a nonprofit organization and will also feature the story of one brave woman's journey out of domestic violence and into starting and growing her own organization to help other abuse victims.

While we give to our community around us during the holiday season, we will also be asking in December for you to give of yourselves to EWN.  If you have ideas on how to do things differently or better, speakers you'd like to see, or you just want to meet and get to know more great EWN women, we'll be calling on you to join the Board of Directors and our Committees to carry EWN into its 31st year.  We can't do it without you.  So stay tuned for that call to action as well.

Happy Autumn!

Turning Salesphobics Into Salesaholics!

"Sales Is NOT a Dirty Word"

Have you ever said, "I hate selling"?

Do you struggle with what to say in order for someone to buy your products or services?

Would your life be easier if somebody else would just sell for you?

Do you freeze when you hear 'no'?

Are you worried about being pushy or salesy?

If you answered 'Yes' to any of these questions, you may need a sales fix!

In this highly interactive session, you will learn:

  • How to unleash your inner salesperson (Yes, YOU are a salesperson.)
  • What you need to do and know to make sales conversations easier
  • How to get a potential client to say 'yes' without pushing

Karen Graves, founder of Your Sales Fix, turns salesphobics into salesaholics. Frustrated by seeing women solopreneurs fail in their businesses due to their fear of sales and lack of sales experience; she has made it her mission to help them sell confidently so their businesses thrive.

After catching the sales bug as a sales rep and manager for Sales Training and Development for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals (and a few bumps in her own entrepreneurial path), Karen realized her gift is to teach other entrepreneurs the skill they need most---sales.

She helps clients see they are naturally gifted at sales and teaches them how to handle objections and confidently close more sales. Ultimately, her clients grow their sales by becoming more of who they already are.

Karen resides in Westchester County, New York and is married to Donald and mom to daughters, Dominique and Dahni.
