Tennessee 811 will periodically provide timely information in this newsletter about events happening at the call center, or issues related to the "One-Call Industry".

PR site new
Tennessee 811, in association with Korterra, has implemented a new look to the Positive Response website.

If anyone is unable to view the new site, we would like to suggest that you first view the Tennessee One Call webpage. You would then click on the "direct link" to the positive response site.

Once you are on the new positive response site, you could "re-save" the page in your favorites or bookmarks for future access. The new design works very similar to the old site, but we have added a few enhancements to make viewing the site easier.

Please note that one can now either print a ticket, email a ticket, or both, to any local printer or destination they prefer.

If you are having any problems accessing the site, please feel free to call the center for assistance.

MingusRaceCar
Kentucky/Tennessee 811 Driver wins Ken Ten Late Model Championship.

Mason Mingus simply doesn't believe in giving up - and that never give up attitude helped him become the Late Model Champion of the Ken Ten Series. Consistent finishes and a huge win at Salem Speedway, one of the country's toughest half-mile tracks, earned him the coveted Ken Ten Late Model Championship.

Mason, who will celebrate his 16th birthday in November, also said his sponsors Kentucky/Tennessee 811 and Diamond Equipment were a key ingredient in being able to take the championship trophy

In addition to the Ken Ten Series, Mason also competed in several CRA Super Late Model events this season against NASCAR stars Kyle Bush and Ken Schrader.

Mason plans to use his experiences this year for an even better season next year.

MSAM
We are happy to announce we have implemented the new and improved version of map services, or Member Service Area Mapping (MSAM).

This new product allows members to VIEW, EDIT and submit their database changes through a web browser.

It take the place of the old, phase 2, version that we have been running for several years. The new phase 3 version, allows a member to not only view their own database, but to make edits using a variety of tools, submit those changes to the GIS / database dept at Tennessee811, and then check the status of that update as it progresses through the editing phase at TOCS and is implemented into the production database.

Members can then view the changes they submitted the following day using the same web site. Any adjustments can be made at that time and the process is again, repeated.

For further information and tutorial, or to sign up, please click the "more info" link listed, or call the GIS / database dept at 615-367-1110 (x7113, x7120, or x7126).

calendar
Tennessee 811 would like to remind each member utility and contract locator, that unless we hear otherwise, we will assume you will be following the same pattern for observed holidays as you did in 2010 within our geocall system.

If you need to adjust any dates, please let us know at the center and we'll be happy to make the changes for you.
