Hi All,
We are off to an amazing start in 2011!
Please come and visit our new Dan Eldon Center for Creative Activism in Malibu where we will pilot and distribute our Creative Activist tools and resources for people of all ages to transform ideas into sustainable projects and productions that can positively impact our world. We are grateful to HBA Design - and especially to Michael Bedner - for designing the new space and supplying nearly all the furniture, which has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
We have also invested in a battered 1974 Land Rover which will be part of our Dan-inspired creative activist outreach initiative, assuming we can get it to start--and stop. Stay tuned. . .
We are seeking corporate, foundation and individual sponsors for our ever-expanding programs- and would deeply appreciate your support. We are also looking for computers and garden furniture (for our deck.)
We hope to see you soon!

Twin Spirits
Creative Visions Foundation would like to invite you all to a night of theatre and passion with Sting and Trudie Styler at the Mark Taper Hall on the 15th of February. Presented by the Culture Project and Co-Hosted by Amy and Kathy Eldon, theatre seats start at $80.00 and go up to $350.00 for a VIP champagne reception with the artists. Previously performed in England at Salisbury Cathedral, Windsor Castle and the Royal Opera House, Culture Project's Twin Spirits has been described by reviewers as "a star-studded success, a poetic meditation." In it, Sting joins his wife, actress, producer and philanthropist Trudie Styler to read from the letters between composer Robert Schumann and his wife. The couple's tragic love story is illustrated and interwoven with music composed by Schuman. The evening's proceeds will be used to support the ongoing work of the Culture Project which supports artistic work that addresses human rights issues. |

This Woman's Work
In February, CVF Exec VP Joey Borgogna, will travel to Uganda, Africa, with CAPP members Skinner Myers and Vincent Deluca of One Hand Clapping Pictures to film This Woman's Work- a hopeful documentary that follows the intense lives of single, teen mothers in Kampala, Uganda. The team will collaborate up with the pioneering Ugandan foundation, Amagezi Gemaanyi Youth Association (AGYA), a non-profit organization committed to creating a safe, supportive, sustainable learning environment where Ugandan youth can develop leadership skills and express themselves creatively. There are lots of easy ways to support this project. You can send materials to the children or help out the production crew with external hard drives.
