Philip Roth in a Live Webcast Tonight At 8 pm we will air Ben Taylor's live interview with Philip Roth. Roth, who makes only rare public appearances, will answer questions and talk about his new novel, Indignation. In a starred review, Publishers' Weekly called Indignation "brilliant and disconcerting." Booklist, also in a starred review, says the book is "fast-paced, compassionate, humorous, historically conscious." Autographed, first editions will be for sale while they last. Charles Ogletree Booksigning Wednesday, Sept. 17, 3:00 pm
Professor Charles J. Ogletree is a prominent legal theorist with an international reputation for taking a hard look at complex issues of law. Ogletree began his legal career as a staff attorney in the District of Columbia's Public Defender Service. In 1991 he served as Legal Counsel to Anita Hill. In 2000, the National Law Journal selected Ogletree as one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America. Widely known and respected for his work to secure the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, Ogletree is the Harvard Law School Jesse Climenko Professor of Law and Vice Dean for the Clinical Programs. Professor Ogletree will autograph copies of his book, All Deliberate Speed: Reflections on the First Half Century of Brown v. Board of Education at the Co-op before speaking at the Dodd Center at 4:00 pm. Constitution Day is sponsored by the Provost and Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.

The First Amendment and Freedom of the Press
Media attorney Dan Klau, a partner with Pepe and Hazard and Stephanie Reitz, who is with AP in Connecticut will talk about the First Amendment as it applies to Freedom of the Press and journalists, particularly protecting sources. Protecting and defending the First Amendment is of paramount interest to each of us and critical to the work that journalists do.
