Betty Andrews is a Pink-Link members and avid breast cancer advocate. Every year, she hosts a table at a local health fair to distribute information about breast cancer and prevention. This past summer, she participated in the National Breast Cancer Coalition's Project LEAD Institute, so she's ready to continue her work in putting an end to breast cancer!

Annie Appleseed Conference
You may remember that I attended the Annie Appleseed Complementary Care Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida at the beginning of the year. It was a fantastic conference with information concerning natural and holistic ways to prevent and treat cancer. You can watch my video about the 2011 conference and you can register to attend the 2012 conference. It'll be held from March 1-3, 2012 in beautiful Florida.

Cancer Coach App
Pink-Link booth at YSC 2010Now, there's an app for Cancer Survivors! The Coach app allows patients and caregivers to walk through the My Breast Cancer Coach tools on their smartphones to access information about their personalized cancer treatment options, and includes a calendar, note-taking and audio-recording functions, a list of questions to ask the doctor, glossary of terms and links to additional resources.

Greetings!

December Contest
Pink-Link booth at YSC 2010We have an exciting contest for you this month! We have 2 different prizes to give away! First, every year, the Beyond Boobs organization produces their "A Calendar to Live By" which features breast cancer survivors and their stories. They donated 20 calendars to Pink-Link for our December contest!

Also, The Care to Knit organization has once again, donated some beautiful pink knit items to keep you warm and cozy during the cold winter months. To the right, Ricky is modeling a pink cap and scarf. Don't worry...I won't let him chew on the adorable pink heart pillow that was also donated!

You can win EITHER a knit item or calendar by entering our contest! Simply email me with the answer to the following question: "Name your three top New Year's resolutions." There's no right or wrong answer! At the beginning of January, I'll put all names into a big bowl, pick the winners and email them to get mailing addresses. Good luck!
